About FluentRoots

Learning in Small Groups

Small-group language courses in Singapore for adult beginners, continuing learners, and community groups.

FluentRoots offers structured language learning in small groups of four to eight participants. Our courses are built to keep lessons active, practical, and easy to follow, with guided peer practice and clear learning plans.

Since 2018, we have focused on classroom-based teaching that supports steady progress through regular lessons, written learning plans, and periodic progress summaries. Placement screening helps us match each learner to the right group and timetable.

What we value

What Shapes Our Teaching

Practical teaching, clear structure, and regular review shape every small-group course we run.

SP

Small-group focus

Small groups create more room for speaking, paired practice, and direct feedback while keeping the pace manageable for different learning needs.

LP

Clear planning

Every term includes a written learning plan so learners know the course direction, lesson rhythm, and main practice areas from the start.

GP

Guided practice

Guided peer practice helps learners use the language actively in class, with support that keeps participation balanced and inclusive.

PR

Progress review

Periodic progress summaries highlight grammar, vocabulary, and speaking points to practise. Progress varies by starting level, attendance, independent practice, and course duration.

Our story

How FluentRoots Grew

A clear course structure helps learners stay engaged and understand what comes next.

2018

Started in 2018

FluentRoots began with a simple idea: language learning works best when learners have space to speak, listen, and practise together in a focused group setting.

2020

Built around structure

As the courses developed, we added written learning plans, guided peer practice, and periodic progress summaries to make each term easier to follow and review.

Today

Focused on group learning

Today, our small-group term courses support learners who want a practical and well-organised classroom experience in Singapore.
